Research

SACRU research activity is focused on challenging transdisciplinary topics with high impact on society and academic reputation. Research collaboration across member Universities is promoted, facilitated and encouraged.

Higher Education

The promotion of joint programs (Summer and Winter Schools, training courses, seminars) and joint/double degrees is a crucial SACRU objective. The programs are devoted both to undergraduate students and PhD candidates.

INTERNATIONALIZATION & MOBILITY

A key purpose of SACRU is to support internationalization of education and share areas of best practice as well as to promote research internationalization. Scholar, student and staff mobility and virtual mobility are encouraged.

SERVICE TO SOCIETY

One of the main objectives of SACRU is to promote visibility of the Alliance universities through service to the society and by making known and divulgating their excellence, in terms of work developed by the community of students, professors, researchers and staff.

The Strategic Alliance of Catholic Universities is a network of universities dedicated to research and teaching excellence, engagement and global collaboration informed by Catholic social teaching

Mission

Our mission is to foster global cooperation amongst the partners with the goal of advancing world leading knowledge and higher education for the common good.

This strategic mission is to allow our partner Universities to glean inspiration from the international best practice of peer institutions and to contribute to the development of a brand beyond its walls.

We identified and designed six priority lines:
