VIII RUEF International Seminar, “The Challenges of Fraternity in an Age of Polarization”
Call for Participation: August 15 th, 2026.
The social, affective, and ideological polarization running through our societies is not merely a political phenomenon: it erodes bonds of trust, fragments the social fabric, and profoundly challenges the very foundations of life in common. Given this, fraternity emerges not as a romantic ideal but as a practical necessity.
There are two ways to participate:
-
Submitting an academic paper — if you have ongoing research related to fraternity, dialogue, or social cohesion, we would be delighted to receive it.
-
Nominating a good practice — if you know of, or are part of, a well-established social initiative that embodies these principles, it also has a place here.
RUEF is a network that, over two decades, has brought together researchers, academics, and organizations from across the world around the study of fraternity.
The submission deadline is August 15, 2026.
